Cuando Brandon Welchez de CROCODILES (Fat Possum Records) se mudó de las soleadas y melosas playas de San Diego, California a la hiper metrópolis de la Ciudad de México, se vio obligado a cambiar la frecuencia y manifestarse con sonidos más caóticos y agresivos. Esa nueva manifestación se llama XENU & THE THETANS y hermanos, esto no es una secta; esta es la locura del punk rock primigenio que brota de tus poros cuando te adoctrinas (o te enfermas) con sermones de los GERMS/BAD BRAINS y todo sale mal. Añade al recientemente reubicado en la Ciudad de México, Johnny Otis Dávila, también conocido como Dr. Papi de DAVILA 666, héroes del garage/psych de San Juan, PR y obtendrás montones de demencia incoherente, PUM! los ingredientes de este álbum! Desde el primer track homenajeando amistades fallecidas con "Amigos Muertos" hasta el modesto "Un Poco de Peligro", XATT exhala cada sílaba en español hasta el último latido en el lenguaje universal del rock'n'roll!

When Brandon Welchez from CROCODILES (Fat Possum Records) moved from the sunny, mellow beaches of San Diego, CA to the hyper metropolis of Mexico City, he was practically forced to take that change of scenery and let it manifest into more chaotic, aggressive and ridiculous sounds. The new manifestation is called XENU & THE THETANS, and it’s not rock-it scientology here, gang. This is that primal punk rock madness that pours outta yer pores when you just wanna belt out some Germs / Bad Brains style ‘core and get nasty. Enter the recently-relocated-to-DF Johnny Otis Davila, aka Dr. Papi, from San Juan, PR garage-psych heroes DAVILA 666, and you get equal blasts of hilarity / stupidity slapped in to the mix. And SLAP this album does! From the album opening anthemic tribute to dead friends “Amigos Muertos” to the more than a little bit dangerous closer “Un Poco de Peligro,” XATT exhales every syllable in swarthy Spanish, and every last beat in the universal language of rock’n’roll! (a co-release with Musica Para Locos)
